The Adventure Logs of Popo and Roki



Who We Are

We are Popo and Roki, high school seniors and aspiring artists, deviants ~Popo-Licious and ~litchi-chan respectively. Working out of various make-shift studios around the DC Metropolitan Area, we strive to make something of ourselves through various art opportunities, including local art galleries, school shows, anime conventions ((sort of)), and of course, deviantART!

What We Do

We officially formed this little team some time last year, when art class doodles would turn into whimsical landscapes of rockets, pirate ships, and dinosaurs. A collaborative artwork between us usually starts as a stray body part on paper, followed by contributions from the other, who will continue the drawing. And so it goes back and forth, Popo's additions, Roki's additions, until the final product.

Color is an adventure in itself! For earlier works, we would just grab the nearest markers, colored pencils, watercolors, whatever, and sweep them on the page to our fancy! For our latest project, though, The Adventures of Popo and Roki, a more organized approach is required-- there is a deadline, after all. ~litchi-chan draws the page, and then ~Popo-Licious inks and colors.

What We Want to Achieve

Right now, we can't reveal too much information regarding our goals, however, the Adventures of Popo and Roki in it's current storybook format is intended to be submitted in a regional scholarship with a grand prize total of $5,000! The idea originally came from a Flash game we were working on, but with our limited skills in programming, we thought that this project would be a much better application of our plot and characters. As the deadlines draw closer and the project is closer to completion, we'll reveal a little more information about the scholarship itself and what the outcome is.
